My Story

I recently have had a new drive for my creativity and here is my story:
In August 2010 we were introduced to Oxford (a 4yr old English Bulldog) who had been up for adoption for months because his family could no longer keep him. Oxford’s story broke our hearts when we learned he had been rescued by this family and given the care he needed and now they could no longer keep him.
After meeting Oxford we were in love with his spirit and character, even our lil French Bulldog loved him from the start so we knew he was meant to be a part of our family.
As we all know English Bulldogs can come with expensive vet bills but when it comes to Oxford I am determined to give him a better and healthy life that he deserves. As a puppy Oxford has had repeated ear infections in one ear which has made his ear skin inflamed and thickened causing his ear canal to close and form growths making it difficult to treat especially since dogs ears have a 90 degree turn at the bottom of the ear canal which makes it hard for the ear to drain since it would have to fight gravity and travel upwards unlike human ear canals. Oxford has been diagnosed with Chronic Otitis Externia and requires a salvage surgery called Total Ear Canal Ablation which involves removal of the entire ear canal, ear drum and part of the middle ear. Oxford will lose hearing in that ear but he will be able to open his mouth wide when he plays with toys and yawn as big as he wants to with out having severe pain in his ear after this surgery.
I am here today because I am raising money for Oxfords surgery and Oxfords one favorite room in our house is my scrapbook room which has given me the idea to take my creativity and sell it for a better life for him. All proceeds made will be going towards Oxfords surgery at Western Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Center in Edmonton.
Thank you for your support
